Everybody loves Hooray Flats, and the Eagle Peak Trail offers hiking at its best. Dressel Reservoir gets very little precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is when it's the driest. High temperatures at Dressel Reservoir during the months of summer are in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Dressel Reservoir dipping down into the 0's

| | through winter nights. After a long day outdoors Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC is a delightful location to spend a night or two, and paddling on Dolores River is so much fun. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Dressel Reservoir; Stoner Mesa Trail is a wonderful local trail, and Big Spring is a picturesque place to check out while you're at Dressel Reservoir. Reservoir is right by the Twin Spring Trail; a perfect spot to camp here at Dressel Reservoir is Mavreeso Campground. Camping at West Dolores Campground is always a delightful experience. Lakes? Sure, Dressel Number Two Reservoir
is around here. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Dressel Reservoir, for example Aspen Reservoir; at Dressel Reservoir you can observe Nipple Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful nearby hotel is Dunton Hot Springs, and why not take a little spree to Groundhog Creek if you're here.

 | 18 miles away Summit Lake was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed and enlarged in 1938. It is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed.... |
