This location, the Medicine Bow Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. Dowdy Lake is magnificent enough       to spend more than a day at, Creedmore Lakes Campground is a magnificent local campground, and don't leave Dowdy Lake without first going for a hike along the Kreutzer Nature Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Not much rainfall falls here at Dowdy Lake; the month with most of the rain is July, and January is when it's the driest. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Fox Acres Country Club; there are good sites to explore along the                  Swamp Creek Cutoff Trail. Not far from Dowdy Lake you obtain some brilliant water scenery at Twin Lakes Dam; there are other locations here than Dowdy Lake, for example Deer Lake.
