Glacier Spring Campground is a splendid local campground, and the Indian Point Trail offers hiking at its best. At Doughspoon Reservoir through the summer highs are in the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Doughspoon       Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Point Trail; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Sundance. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll adore Doughspoon Reservoir. Doughspoon Reservoir is not the only site nearby, Delta Reservoir is a nearby lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Doughspoon Reservoir; Point Camp Trail is a nice local trail. Comfort Inn Delta                  is a great place to get some rest, and Jumbo Reservoir Campground is a delightful campground nearby. Doughspoon Reservoir is pretty waterless generally; through the month of October you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. No need to travel far to explore out of the ordinary stuff like Point Peninsula, and you can run the rapids of Escalante Creek.
