What a nice lake Doughnut Lake is. So much fun stuff to do at Doughnut Lake, so little time. There's brilliant hiking along the Timber Creek Trail, and a delightful close by hotel is Pinecone Cottages. The warmest time of the year at Doughnut Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and the overnight is fairly colder of course, regularly in the 30's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Doughnut Lake

| | temperatures sink to the 0's. You can run the rapids of Cache La Poudre River near Doughnut Lake, and the peak of Chief Cheley Peak can be seen from Doughnut Lake.

in the neighborhood of Doughnut Lake is Joe Wright Creek; don't leave Doughnut Lake without first going for a hike along the Tonahutu Creek Trail. Not much rainfall falls here at Doughnut Lake; August is the month that gets the most
rain; the driest month of the year is November.
If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Front Range. A cool spot to pop by next to Doughnut Lake is Hayden Spire, and good hiking is available along the Hidden Valley
