Dory Lake is located in the Front Range. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Boulder Creek - South. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Front Range. Braecher Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by; if the weather is beautiful, you get a delightful vista of Dory Hill from Dory Lake. Yeah, come here       to Dory Lake for a splendid time. Braecher Ranch Dam has glorious water scenery and it's in close proximity to Dory Lake; while you're here, you could also take a look at wonderful Braecher Ranch Reservoir. High temperatures at Dory Lake during the days of summer are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Dory Lake dipping down into the 0's all through                  winter nights. There's great hiking along the Mount Thorodin Trail; a delightful site to camp here at Dory Lake is Dory Hill KOA Campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Front Range. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Lodge At Nederland, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Dory Lake; Switzerland Trail is a tremendous local trail. At Dory Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Boulder Creek - South, and don't leave Dory Lake without first going for a hike along the Bolling Gulch Trail.
