Lake Dorothy is a lake worth visiting. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Front Range. There are good places to look at along the Arapaho Pass Trail, and if you came to camp Buckingham Campground is a great place to do that. Arapaho Pass is a perfect place to have a look at close by, and Sawmill Station is a splendid site to get some rest. Any time is a splendid time at Lake Dorothy if you have a thing about the outdoors. Devils Thumb Lake

From Lake Dorothy you acquire a delightful panorama of Mount Jasper, and don't leave Lake Dorothy without first going for a hike along the Devils Thumb Trail. 20's; overnight lows at Lake Dorothy through the wintertime generally fall into the 0's. Going for a hike on the Columbine Lake Trail is always a nice adventure; a pleasant tour to Coyote Park is a glorious way to spend an afternoon.
This place rules, just explore all the cool stuff to do in the neighborhood of Lake Dorothy. There's so much to do here at Lake Dorothy that you need to camp here for a while, Fourth of July Campground is a splendid place for that,
and in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boulder Creek. All year is a perfect time in the Front Range if you go for the outdoors. Really magnificent skiing awaits you at Berthoud
Pass, and whitewater paddling is great on Fraser River. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Winter Park; Devils Thumb is an out of the ordinary place to stop by while at Lake Dorothy.;
August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. If you need a site to stay Beaver Village Condominiums is a perfect choice; if you get bored of Lake Dorothy you could also stop at nearby Betty Lake.
