A short journey to Bessies Falls is always worthwhile, and you can go for a hike on the Bailey Lake Trail. Big Fish Lake is a pleasant lake near Doris Lake, and Doris Lake is a great site to camp, Himes Peak Campground is a great site. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Picket Pin Creek since you're here at Doris Lake, and good hiking is available along the Fayville       Trail. Paddling on White River - North Fork is so much fun, and there are glorious places to look at along the Oyster Lake Trail. After a long day outdoors Best Value Inn And Suites is a great site to spend a night or two. Stay the night at Shepherds Rim Campground; at Doris Lake you can spot Little Marvine Peaks. During the summertime at Doris Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and the night is a tad colder of course, typically in the 40's.
