While you're here at Dopey Reservoir, you could also stop by scenic Island Reservoir, and close by you find the McPhee Stock Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. You truly should love Dopey Reservoir. There's so much to do here at Dopey Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Emerson Campground is a wonderful site       for that; there is a brilliant hiking trail nearby called the Stoner Stock Trail. Going for a hike on the Ormiston Point Stock Driveway is always a good adventure; dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Cortez. You get a great view of South Mountain from Dopey Reservoir. It is very arid here at Dopey Reservoir ordinarily; all through the month of October you get the most rain around here, and June on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You'll                  hit upon a picturesque lake called Black Jack Reservoir near Dopey Reservoir, and Dunton Hot Springs is a wonderful place to get some rest. At Dopey Reservoir throughout the days of summer highs are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's.
