Sure, Wolverine Lake is in the neighborhood, and some of the water close by flows, like Wolverine Creek. There's great hiking along the Wyoming Trail. There's so much to do here at Dome Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hinman Campground is a delightful place for that. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Dome Lake. Howelsen Hill is a good local ski area. Throughout the summer months, highs       typically are in the 80's at Dome Lake. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Dome Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Dome Lake. Dome Lake is right by the North Lake Trail; dry warm beds await you at Western Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Dome Lake has to offer, you                  can camp at Summit Lake Campground, and after a long day outdoors CrossTimbers at Steamboat is a nice spot to spend a night or two. All the outdoors amusing things in the Park Range will keep you coming back many times. The Crags Trail offers hiking at its best, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Elk River. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Steamboat is right next door to Dome Lake, and the picturesque Park Range is here. At Dome Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and August on the other hand is the driest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Park Range. Here at Dome Lake you can see The Dome, and there are other spots here than Dome Lake, for example Ptarmigan Lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Dome Lake it's a great idea to check out Wolverine Basin; whitewater paddling is great on Elk River.
