    Dolomite Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. These mountains rock, just explore all the exciting things to do in the San Juan Mountains. You can see Elephant Head Rock from Dolomite Lake; Dolomite Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Blanco River Campground is a delightful local campground. The warmest time of the year at Dolomite Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 60's with night lows in the 40's.  
   Highs during the winter are usually in the 30's, and night lows at Dolomite Lake during the winter generally dip into the 0's. Get yourself into a kayak and hit San Juan River - East Fork, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Fish Creek Trail.
This place, Dolomite Lake, it absolutely has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Going for a hike along the V Rock Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. This lake
 
               is so wonderful. Best Value High Country Lodge is a fine spot to get some rest, and hiking along the Leche Creek Trail is splendid fun. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains.
A good deal of rainfall falls at Dolomite Lake; the month of March is the wettest with most of the snow; June is the month with the least moisture. A great place to camp here at Dolomite Lake is El Vado Lake Camping Resort; get wet paddling on Navajo River.
