A delightful nearby hotel is Fairmont Franz Klammer Lodge, and you can run the rapids of San Miguel River. And that's not everything you can do here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. At Dollan Reservoir you always meet someone from Montrose, and there are other spots here than Dollan Reservoir, for example Hardin Reservoir. At Dollan Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; throughout July this area sees the most rain; the driest month       is February. If you came for an overnight stay Antone Spring Campground is a splendid place to camp, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of San Miguel River. Why not camp at Iron Spring Campground if you're here at Dollan Reservoir, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Paradox Road. Just can't get enough of Dollan Reservoir. Upper Craig Draw Reservoir is a pleasant lake near Dollan Reservoir, and the beauty of mother nature reveals                  herself at Dollarhide Spring. Just can't get enough of the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Horsefly Trail, and why not take a little journey to South Fork Clay Creek while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Dry Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. During the warm months at Dollan Reservoir highs are regularly in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. For the duration of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 30's with temperatures at Dollan Reservoir dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights.
