It's always fun to stop by Doelz Reservoir. All through the long summer days at Doelz Reservoir temperatures are generally in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Doelz Reservoir are in the 10's. The snow is splendid at Silverton. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Telluride, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Cimarron River. Near Doelz Reservoir you hit upon the Blue Lakes Trail which is a fine hiking trail; why not camp at Country Village RV Ranch Park if you're here at Doelz Reservoir. | |

Alkali Creek flows through this neighborhood, and dry warm beds await you at Box Canyon Lodge and Hot Springs Ouray.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Centennial RV Park, and in close proximity to Doelz Reservoir
you come across a golf course called Fairway Pines Golf Club. What a location this is for outdoors folks. Going for a hike on the Deer Creek Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and why not explore Doelz Dam if you're here. You'll
truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Uncompahgre River, and there
is a good hiking trail close by called the Dallas Trail.
Doelz Reservoir is located in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Doelz Reservoir gets very little rainfall; during the month of September you get the most rain around here; February is when it's the driest.
