Get soaked paddling on Cache La Poudre River; hiking is a popular thing to do around Dixon Reservoir; Wintersteen Trail is a good local trail. You could also explore Black Lake while you're here at Dixon Reservoir; it's nearby, and the Greyrock Trail offers hiking at its best. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Enjoy a round of golf at Fort Collins Country       Club Golf not far from Dixon Reservoir; a good close by hotel is Budget Host Inn Fort Collins. Around Dixon Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Pawnee - Arapaho National Forest is a wonderful local campground, and Dixon Reservoir is right by the Jug Trail. The Armstrong Hotel is a great site to get some rest, and you're sure to come across some                  good folks from Fort Collins-Loveland here. This lake is so wonderful.
