     If you get bored of Divide Reservoir, you could also visit nearby Sawmill Reservoir; camping is available at Emerson Campground. Horse Barn Spring is an inspiring place to take a look at during your stay; let's not forget Turkey Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon while here. Divide Reservoir is usually a relatively arid place; of all the months in a year October is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is June. Summer  
   at Divide Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Divide Reservoir plunge into the 10's.
You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Divide Reservoir is right by the Lost Canyon Stock Driveway, and Dunton Hot Springs is a brilliant location to get some rest. This lake is
 
               so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Stoner Stock Trail, and do set aside some time for McPhee Park since you're here at Divide Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC, and nearby you find Rocky Draw which is a tremendous spot to pop by.
A journey to Mesa Verde National Park is recommended. Peel Number Three Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could check out, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Dolores River. Take a hike on the Eagle Peak Trail, and camping at The Forks Campground is always a wonderful experience.

Summit Reservoir
Summit Lake was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed and enlarged in 1938. It is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed....

Puett Reservoir
A.M. Puett Reservoir was originally constructed in 1905, and then reconstructed in 1960. It contains 163 surface acres when full and is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife and open for public fishing from the bank and from trolling motor powered boats. No swimming is allowed. The lake is on private land and access is limited to 3 feet above the high water line....

We stayed in this campground mid-July 2006. Very efficient, friendly park. Adequate power, water, and sewage hookups. Rates were reasonable; and the manager did indicate that longer stays were discounted. Nice fenced dog run for our puppies to enjoy. The microbrewery in town has a wide selection of locally made beverages. I would gladly stop at La Mesa RV Park again....
