This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Dolores River is so much fun; great hiking is available along the Ormiston Point Stock Driveway. Nearby Willow Draw is a great location to go if you're at Disappointment Reservoir Number 1, and Mc Phee Mobile Home and RV Park is a delightful local campground. Not far from Disappointment Reservoir Number 1, you'll hit upon Disappointment       Number Five Reservoir which is a pretty lake, and if you need a place to stay Dunton Hot Springs is a glorious choice. During the long summer days, highs frequently are in the 90's at Disappointment Reservoir Number 1; the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, usually in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Disappointment Reservoir Number 1 temperatures fall to the 10's.
