Man, is there a lot of enjoyable stuff to do in the Park Range. Beaver Creek Campground is a good campground nearby. Lakes? Sure, Sanchez Lakes is close at hand. Just can't get enough of Lake Diana. Lake Diana is a great place to visit for more than one day, Lakeside Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Elk River offers some great whitewater. You truly should like       the Park Range. Hiking along the Gem Lake Trail is good fun; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Gem Lake. Not much rainfall falls here at Lake Diana; May is the month that gets the most rain while January is frequently the driest month. Through the summertime, highs generally are in the 80's at Lake Diana. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 40's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 30's, and nighttime lows                  in the 0's for Lake Diana. While you're here at Lake Diana you can take a hike along the Mica Basin Trail; Buck Mountain is clearly visible from Lake Diana. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Encampment River, and after a long day outdoors CrossTimbers at Steamboat is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. This lake is located in the wonderful Park Range. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Village at Steamboat.
