This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Greeley here, and why not camp at Johnson's Corner Campground since you're here at Diamond Reservoir. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Diamond Reservoir gets very little rain; most of the rain falls throughout May, and February is the month with the least moisture. Camping at Diamond Reservoir is great fun, Rising Star is a great local campground, and       after a long day outdoors Best Western Longmont Inn & Suites is a perfect site to spend a night or two. Value Place Firestone is a great location to get some rest; Diamond Reservoir is not the only spot close by, B L Swift Reservoir is a close by lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend South Platte River, and Diamond Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. For the period of the summertime at Diamond Reservoir                  highs are generally in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's.
