Devils Lake gets very little rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is February. Devils Lake is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Slumgullion Pass Campground is a nice place to camp nearby; don't leave Devils Lake without first going for a hike along the Cebolla Trail. At Devils Lake all through the long summer days highs are in       the 70's with night lows in the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Devils Lake dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at The Water Wheel Inn. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Henson Creek, and there's                  great hiking along the Ridge Stock Driveway. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Rough Creek Trail, and Powderhorn Lakes is a nearby lake that you could go to. You just have to like Devils Lake. A lake close by is Deer Lakes, and the view of picturesque Calf Creek Plateau is great. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
