The panoramas at Mesa Verde National Park will blow your mind; camping is available at Emerson Campground. Hiking along the Eagle Peak Trail is brilliant fun, and if you need a site to stay Dunton Hot Springs is a glorious choice. It is very waterless here at Devere Reservoir usually; the month with most of the rain is October while June is regularly the driest month. Places like McPhee Park are great to have a look at, and Willow Spring is a gorgeous location

Lakes are splendid; Henry Reservoir is a lake that's next to Devere Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Lost Canyon Stock Driveway, and glide down the rapids of Dolores River in a kayak.

Summit Reservoir
 | 12 miles away Summit Lake was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed and enlarged in 1938. It is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed.... |

 | 19 miles away We stayed in this campground mid-July 2006. Very efficient, friendly park. Adequate power, water, and sewage hookups. Rates were reasonable; and the manager did indicate that longer stays were discounted. Nice fenced dog run for our puppies to enjoy. The microbrewery in town has a wide selection of locally made beverages. I would gladly stop at La Mesa RV Park again.... |
