This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Whitewater Basin Trail, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Clifton Inn is a perfect choice. Colorado National Monument is a pleasant local destination here at Desert Reservoir, and Grand Junction/Clifton Campground is a good campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Powderhorn, and why not take a refreshing hike       along the Bax X Bench Stock Trail. Take a little trip to Indian Creek if you're here at Desert Reservoir, and if you come at the right time of year, Kannah Creek offers some great whitewater. A round of golf at nearby Chipeta Golf Course is a splendid way to kill some time, and Wine Country Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest. You absolutely ought to love Desert Reservoir.
