If you need a place to stay The Timbers All Suite Hotel is a tremendous choice, and a lake close by is Lake Mary. Derby Lake is a location that is relatively arid usually; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; January is when it's the driest. Dry warm beds await you at Drury Inn Denver East; get yourself into a kayak and hit South Platte River.       You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Derby Lake. Derby Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Cherry Creek is a brilliant local campground, and Basin F is a great spot here at Derby Lake. An afternoon playing golf at Buffalo Run Golf Course is always a diversion, and you can take a little visit to Derby Dam if you're here at Derby Lake. During the summer at Derby Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's,                  and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Derby Lake.
