Denver Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Not much rain falls here at Denver Lake; all through August this area sees the most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Horsethief Trail; a great site to have a look at is California Gulch. So many cool things to do in the San Juan Mountains, not enough time. Darley Mountain is charming and can be seen from Denver Lake,

| | and a great close by hotel is Antlers Motel.
There's no way anyone can get bored here in the San Juan Mountains. Hit the slopes at Silverton around here; Hurricane Basin is a great location to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Kendall Mountain is a very popular ski area nearby, and Ridgeway is a great campground here. If you come at the right time of year, Mineral Creek - South offers some brilliant whitewater; you can stay the night at Timber Ridge Motel | |

and Campground.
This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains. Going for a hike on the Ridge Stock Driveway is always a fine adventure. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Henson Creek, and after
a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Ouray is a brilliant place to spend a night or two.
At Denver Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 70's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with
highs in the 30's with temperatures at Denver Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. What a site this is for outdoors people. Go for a hike on the Bear Creek Trail; Burrows Creek is in the neighborhood of Denver Lake and is always a pleasure to stop by.
