There are some splendid whitewater spots on Kannah Creek, and Devils Thumb is something you shouldn't miss while you're here. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Delta Reservoir; Bull and Brown Trail is a magnificent local trail; if you're here, you could also pop by beautiful Delta Control Reservoir. At Delta Reservoir through the warm days of summer highs are in the 90's, and the nighttime       is rather colder of course, ordinarily in the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are usually in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Delta Reservoir temperatures fall to the 10's. Stay the night at Amphitheater - Gunnison National Forest, and there's perfect hiking along the Point Camp Trail. Not far from Delta Reservoir you obtain some good water scenery at Delta Control Dam; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Delta is a                  delightful place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Powderhorn, and enjoy a round of golf at Devil's Thumb Golf Club. Having a delightful time at Delta Reservoir is uncomplicated. Delta Reservoir is a perfect site to camp, Delta/Grand Mesa KOA is a perfect site, and don't leave Delta Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Point Trail. A pleasant close by hotel is Flying A Motel & Campground, and there's whitewater on Gunnison River for all you adrenaline junkies.
