Antelope Draw is near Deer Reservoir and is absolutely a great place to stop by, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Yampa River. This lake is so wonderful. next to Deer Reservoir is a fine location to take a look at, and after a long day outdoors Travelodge Vernal is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Deer Reservoir; Daniels Trail is a good
local trail. Through the summertime months at Deer Reservoir temperatures are usually in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Deer Reservoir during the winter commonly sink into the 10's.
