Deer Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. You can run the rapids of Jones Hole Creek in close proximity to Deer Reservoir, and if the weather is delightful, you acquire a nice sight of Marthas Peak from Deer Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Burdett Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting. Take a hike on the Jones Hole Trail, and get your heart beating on the fine whitewater of Yampa River.

it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows at Deer Reservoir through the winter generally fall into the 10's.
It is very dried out here at Deer Reservoir usually; the wettest month of the
year is commonly May, that's the one that rains the most; January is when it's the driest. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Marthas Spring; you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Daniels Trail. This lake
is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Blue Mountain Inn and Suites, and since you're here at Deer Reservoir it's a tremendous idea to stop by Marthas Hole.
