If you are in Hinsdale county it's always a good idea to stop by Deer Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Waterdog Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and there's perfect hiking along the Cebolla Trail. Deer Lakes gets very little rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. | | Trail offers hiking at its best. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has to offer. Don't leave Deer Lakes without first going for a hike along the Rough Creek Trail, and while you're here, you could also stop by wonderful Devils Lake. Deer Lakes highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Deer Lakes plunge into the-10's.
