After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge is a wonderful place to spend a night or two; why not take a refreshing hike along the Crag Crest Trail. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Kannah Creek. Deep Ward Lake is pretty dried out typically; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Head up to Powderhorn and strap       some skis to your feet, and Skyway Campground is a perfect campground here. And that's not all you can do here at Deep Ward Lake. There's fine hiking along the Cottonwood Lakes Foot Trail; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Delta. This lake is so wonderful. The High Trail offers hiking at its best; Deep Ward Lake is a great spot to camp, Carp Lake Campground is a great spot. A lake close by is Alexander Lake; why not go to Ward Lake Dam if you're here.                  For the duration of the summertime months at Deep Ward Lake temperatures are typically in the 90's; the night is slightly cooler of course, generally in the 60's.
