There's tremendous hiking along the High Trail, and if you need a place to stay Creek Side Bed & Breakfast is a magnificent choice. Deep Slough Reservoir is usually a quite dried up spot; through the month of October you get the most rain around here; the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Deep Slough Reservoir; Crag       Crest Trail is a great local trail; do visit Deep Slough Dam while you're here. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Deep Slough Reservoir. Good hiking is available along the Cottonwood Lakes Foot Trail. There's so much to do here at Deep Slough Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Little Bear Campground is a great place for that. Lakes are pleasant; Alexander Lake is a lake that's close to Deep Slough Reservoir, and after a                  long day outdoors Spruce Lodge Resort is a nice site to spend a night or two. Deep Slough Reservoir is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Skyway Campground is a magnificent local campground, and the slopes of Powderhorn are so inviting noone can resist. Glide down the rapids of Kannah Creek in a kayak. Summertime highs at Deep Slough Reservoir commonly tend to be in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's.
