Deep Lake is pretty dry regularly; October is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture. Not far from Deep Lake you obtain some good water scenery at Heart Lake Dam. Lakes are fine; Heart Lake Reservoir is a lake that's right next door to Deep Lake. Summertime highs at Deep Lake typically tend to be       in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's while Deep Lake night low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Very pretty scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Sunlight Mountain, and dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Glenwood Springs. What a place this is for outdoors folks.
