Visiting Great Sand       Dunes National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Marble Mountain Trail. On a splendid day at Deadman Lakes you can take a hike along the Music Pass Trail; there are other places here than Deadman Lakes, for example Hanging Lake. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Deadman Lakes is located in the Sangre De                  Cristo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Deadman Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Pinyon Flats Campground is a glorious spot for that, and going for a hike on the Rainbow Trail is always a great adventure. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. If you came to camp North Crestone Campground is a great location to do that; South Colony Lakes is a nice lake close by. During the warmest time of the year at Deadman Lakes temperatures are generally in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 40's.
