Do stop by Dead Lake while you're in this part of Colorado. Don't leave Dead Lake without first going for a hike along the Indian Trail; what would a site like Dead Lake be without out of the ordinary nearby characteristics like Windy Point. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Waldo Canyon Trail, and after a long day outdoors Eagle Motel is a nice location to spend a night or two. | | so much to do here at Dead Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wye Campground is a wonderful place for that. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Dead Lake has to offer, you can camp at Clyde Campground. This lake is located in the wonderful Front Range. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things near Dead Lake. There are splendid sites to discover along the Barr Trail, and you're sure to run into some smiling folks from Colorado | |

Springs here. High temperatures at Dead Lake through the summer months are in the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; after the sun is down during the
wintertime temperatures at Dead Lake sink into the 0's. The sights at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument will blow your mind; a lake close by is Stratton Reservoir. Around Dead Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; throughout July
this area sees the most rain while January is generally the driest month. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Front Range. Boehmer Creek is a striking stream that is worth checking out, of course you could also visit Penrose-Rosemont
Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Elk Park is a good place here at Dead Lake, and Almagre Mountain is simple to spot from Dead Lake. All the outdoors exciting stuff in the Front Range will
keep you coming back persistently. Mason Dam is not far at all from Dead Lake, and The Cliff House Hotel at Pikes Peak is a tremendous place to get some rest.
