Summer brings highs in the 90's to Dead Dog Reservoir. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Dead Dog Reservoir temperatures sink to the 0's. Dead Dog Reservoir is typically a reasonably dried up spot; of all the months in a year October is the one with the most       rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. On a pleasant day at Dead Dog Reservoir you can take a hike along the Dragon Douglas Trail; there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Yampa River.
