Arkansas River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby; there's some attention-grabbing stuff to make out at De Weese Dam near DeWeese Reservoir. Whitewater paddling is great on Grape Creek, and for you golfers we recommend close by St Andrews Golf Course. Getting to Swift Creek from DeWeese Reservoir is uncomplicated; while you're here you can take a hike along the Lake of the Clouds Trail. DeWeese Reservoir       is generally a pretty waterless spot; August is when you get the most rain here, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. The nice people of Canon City like to hang out close by, and going for a hike along the Rainbow Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Cross D Bar Trout Ranch is a pleasant location to camp. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin'                  a perfect time here at DeWeese Reservoir. Why not camp at Eberling Mobile Home and RV Park since you're here at DeWeese Reservoir, and lakes are such peaceful spots, why not stop by Deweese-Dye Reservoir. All through the long summer days here at DeWeese Reservoir, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at DeWeese Reservoir are in the 0's.
