Why not stop at De Weese Dam while you're here, and naturally Swift Creek flows through this region. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Arkansas River, and St Andrews Golf Course is a fine golf course nearby. If you came to camp Eberling Mobile Home and RV Park is a good spot to do that; don't leave DeWeese Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Venable-Comanche       Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Comfort Inn Canon City is a good choice, and there are tremendous places to discover along the Lake of the Clouds Trail. There's so much to do here at DeWeese Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Grape Creek RV Park and Campground is a delightful place for that, and going for a hike on the Rainbow Trail is always a good adventure. High temperatures at DeWeese Reservoir during the months                  of summer are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. All through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's while DeWeese Reservoir overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. This place is so good, just check out all the fun stuff to do near DeWeese Reservoir. Grape Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot close by, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Canon City here.; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
