Paddling on Rio de los Pinos is so much fun, naturally you could also take a look at Rock Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Narrow Gauge RR Inn is a tremendous site to get some rest, and Conejos River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Going for       a hike on the Posos Trail is always a nice adventure, and camping is available at Spectacle Lake Campground. A lot of rain falls at De Herrera Lake; the wettest month of the year is commonly March, that's the one that snows the most while June is usually the driest month. This place, De Herrera Lake, it completely has so much outdoors fun stuff. A wonderful close by hotel is Branding Iron Motel; camping at Trujillo Meadows Campground is always a good experience.                  These mountains rock, just check out all the exciting things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Near De Herrera Lake you discover the La Manga Stock Driveway which is a great hiking trail. Throughout the summertime months here at De Herrera Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 60's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs all through the wintertime are mostly in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at De Herrera Lake temperatures fall to the 0's.
