There are other locations here than Davey Lake, for example Russell Lakes, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Coleman Cutoff Trail. Summer at Davey Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Davey Lake dip into the 0's.       What a spot this is for outdoors folks. A brilliant nearby hotel is Budget Host Monte Villa Inn Monte Vista. Davey Lake gets very little rain; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while February is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Saguache Creek Lodging and RV is a good campground nearby; close by you come across the Divide Trail which is a good hiking trail. Harrence Lake is a splendid lake close to Davey Lake,                  and the Lime Creek Stock Driveway is a great hiking trail close by.
