After a long day outdoors Sun Canyon Ranch is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two, and there's whitewater on Dolores River for all you adrenaline junkies. It is very arid here at Dalton Reservoir frequently; October is the month that gets the most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Dalton Reservoir is not the only place nearby, Oakbrush Reservoir is a nearby lake. Throughout       the days of summer here at Dalton Reservoir, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Dalton Reservoir dip into the 0's.
