Cushman Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Mountain Lodge At Telluride, and some of the water close by flows, like Gold Creek. Camping is available at Sunshine Campground, and Cushman Dam is scenic. Man, is there heaps of entertaining things to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Deep Creek Trail; after a long day outdoors Capella Telluride is a delightful
site to spend a night or two.
On a wonderful day you acquire a sight of Turkey Creek Mesa from Cushman Lake, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Alta Reservoir Number 3. So much cool stuff to do here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, too delightful to be true. Telluride has good slopes and a friendly staff, and if you came for an overnight stay Riverwood Inn and RV Park is a great site to camp. Don't leave Cushman

Lake without first going for a hike along the Lizard Head Trail, and get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Mineral Creek - South.
Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Cushman Lake. A round of golf at nearby Telluride Ski & Golf Club is a brilliant way to kill some time. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. Hit the slopes at Silverton in the neighborhood. At Cushman Lake you don’t see much rainfall; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here, and June is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
