The warmest time of the year at Cunningham Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Cunningham Reservoir dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. This lake is so       wonderful. Little Mill Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit, and Grays Gulch is close by, and is a good place. It is very dried up here at Cunningham Reservoir usually; August is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Hiking along the Mill-Castle Trail is great fun; camping at Mesa Campground is always a great experience. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Irwin Lodge, and Rodeway Inn                  Gunnison is a good site to get some rest. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Granite Basin Trail, and paddling on Oh Be Joyful Creek is so much fun. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. Cunningham Reservoir is right by the Lowline Trail; whitewater paddling is wonderful on Gunnison River. This lake is so wonderful.
