A pleasant spot for whitewater paddling right next door to Crystal Reservoir is Saint Vrain Creek - North, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Thompson River. At Crystal Reservoir through the summer months highs are in the 80's, and throughout       summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Crystal Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Crystal Dam is worth a visit while you're here, and if you're here, you could also visit lovely Crystal Lake. After a long day outdoors Niwot Inn is a glorious location to spend a night or two; a good place to camp here at Crystal Reservoir is Parrish Ranch Recreational Vehicle Resort                  & Evnt. So many cool things near Crystal Reservoir, clearly fantastic. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Super 8 Longmont/Twin Peaks; Bellmire Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Having a good time at Crystal Reservoir is simple. Mullen Park is right here at Crystal Reservoir; camping at Longmont Koa Kampground is always a wonderful experience. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Crystal Reservoir; Jug Trail is a good local trail; Ute Creek Golf Course is a great golf course nearby. Crystal Reservoir is a location that is pretty arid usually; through May this area sees the most rain, and January is when it's the driest.
