If you need a location to stay Allington Inn and Suites is a good choice, and you can go for a hike on the Wolf Creek Stock Driveway. High temperatures at Crystal Lakes during the long summer days are in the 60's, and the overnight is rather cooler of course, regularly in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's while the cold winter       nights at Crystal Lakes are in the 0's. So much cool stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, just phenomenal. You'll find a beautiful lake called Kreps Lake near Crystal Lakes, and going for a hike on the San Juan Stock Driveway is always a brilliant adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Rio Grande, and Crystal Lakes is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Cross Creek Campground is a nice local                  campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. And that's not everything you can do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There's so much to do here at Crystal Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Stunner Campground is a splendid spot for that, and there's whitewater on Conejos River for all you adrenaline people. This lake is so wonderful. At Crystal Lakes you can catch a glimpse of Hogback Mesa, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Dry Creek Stock Driveway. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not explore Summitville Tailings Pond right next door to Crystal Lakes, and after a long day outdoors The Spruce Lodge is a brilliant site to spend a night or two.
