The beauty of Crystal Lake attracts many people from all around. All year is a nice time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Camping at Lake City Campground is always a splendid experience; nearby you discover the Big Blue Trail which is a fine hiking trail. And that's not all you can do here at Crystal Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Henson Creek, and there are other spots here than Crystal Lake, for example

| | Thompson Lake. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. It is very arid here at Crystal Lake usually; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is June. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Inn Ouray is a great spot to get some rest; needless to say Crystal Creek is a wonderful stream that is worth taking a look at. a perfect hiking trail right next door to Crystal Lake called the Ridge Stock Driveway; do put some time aside to spend at Treasure Falls since you're here at Crystal Lake. If you're here at Crystal Lake, checking out Sugarloaf
Rock is a must, and going for a hike on the Fall Creek Trail is always a magnificent adventure. A pleasant place to camp here at Crystal Lake is Mill Creek Campground, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Lake Fork Gunnison
River. All through the summer, highs typically are in the 70's at Crystal Lake. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Crystal Lake overnight low temperatures through
the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A great view of wonderful Crystal Peak is available from Crystal Lake; you might also want to pay a visit to Alpine Gulch while you're here at Crystal Lake.
