Crossan Reservoir is usually a pretty waterless site; March is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month of the year is June. This lake is so wonderful. Harper Spring is a good local attraction. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Colorado       River; you'll find a stunning lake called Sterner Reservoir. High temperatures at Crossan Reservoir during the days of summer are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the winter the highs are generally in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Crossan Reservoir. Anderson Camps LTD is a tremendous campground nearby; there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the High Trail. Get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater                  of Sweetwater Creek; Oak Tree Inn Yampa is a pleasant spot to get some rest. Crossan Reservoir really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express EAGLE, and do stop at Egeria Creek Reservoir, it's a delightful lake. This lake is so wonderful.
