Have a great hiking adventure along the South Derby Trail. There's so much to do here at Crosho Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Stagecoach is a delightful place for that. Summertime highs at Crosho Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Crosho Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Crosho Lake is nice

| | enough to spend more than a day at, Baughn Lake Campground is a nice local campground; if you need a location to stay Oak Tree Inn Yampa is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful.

a glimpse of Bellyache Mountain from Crosho Lake; hiking along the Ute Trail is wonderful fun. At Crosho Lake you don’t see much precipitation; through the month of March you get the most snow around here; June is the month with the
least moisture.
You don’t have to go far from Crosho Lake to make out the water at Allen Basin Dam; while you're here you can take a hike along the High Trail. Lakes? Sure, Allen Basin Reservoir is in the neighborhood, and Allen Basin District Ditch is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at.

 | I fished last year and am coming back next week to fish again. It is very nice to fish from a boat or bank, but I prefer boat....Wife and I where fishing Stagecoach, then we heard of Yamcolo, it was about 20 mins out of Yampa. We came around the corner of the earthen dam side, looked down the fish where jumpin all over the place grabbed the poles and it was off to the rodoe,15 fish as fast as we could 45min past sorry did not have camera going back this year in couple of weeks can't wait New Castle Colo, Apple Tree Park... |
