Pease Point is an out of the ordinary thing to spot since you're here at Cresto Reservoir, and do visit Cresto Reservoir, it's a delightful lake. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Cresto Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Dry Creek while you're here at Cresto Reservoir; the Stoner Mesa Trail is a great hiking trail close by. Around Cresto Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; all through March this area

While you're here at Cresto Reservoir, you could also go to scenic McEwen Reservoir; if you haven’t been to Mesa Verde National Park, you should schedule some time for it while you're here. At Cresto Reservoir you can catch a glimpse of Nipple Mountain, and on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Eagle Peak Trail. Dunton Hot Springs is a great site to get some rest. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Cold Spring, and camping is available at West Dolores Campground. Summertime highs at Cresto Reservoir usually tend to be in the 80's,
and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Cresto Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Dolores River, and after a long day outdoors Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC is a good spot to spend a night or two.

 | 16 miles away Summit Lake was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed and enlarged in 1938. It is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed.... |
