Stone Mountain Lodge and RV Park is a glorious campground nearby, and the smiling people of Fort Collins-Loveland like to hang out close by. Take a side spree to West Fork Little Thompson River; don't leave Crescent Lake without first going for a hike along the North Sheep Mountain Trail. The Front Range scenery is always beautiful. There's good hiking along the Round Mountain Trail, and a       pleasant location for whitewater paddling is Saint Vrain Creek - North. Be careful coming to Crescent Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. Crescent Lake is ordinarily a pretty waterless place; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. For the duration of the summer months at Crescent Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's.                  High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Crescent Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are perfect; Longmont Reservoir is a lake that's in close proximity to Crescent Lake, and Crescent Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Park Place Camping Resort is a good site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Button Rock Reservoir; Moose Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from Crescent Lake. Burnett Gulch is a perfect site to explore, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Crescent Lake; Crosier Mountain Trail is a tremendous local trail. And if that's not enough there's loads more exciting stuff to do in the Front Range. Don’t forget to pop by Drummer Flat while you're here at Crescent Lake, and if you need a place to stay Bighorn Moutain Lodge is a glorious choice. Just can't get enough of the Front Range.
