You'll need more than a day to discover everything Crescent Lake has to offer, you can camp at Trappers Lake Campground. A pleasant tour to Amphitheatre is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon; you can have a great hiking adventure along the South Derby Trail. Crescent Lake is right by the Oyster Lake Trail, and the summit of Himes Peak can be seen from Crescent Lake. Sweetwater       Creek is a nice whitewater spot in the vicinity of Crescent Lake. Lakes are good; Scotts Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Crescent Lake. Around Crescent Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; October is when you get the most rain here, and January is the month with the least moisture. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Crescent Lake. Not far from Crescent Lake, you'll come across Anderson Lake which is a pretty                  lake, and do take a hike on the Ute Trail. All through the warm days of summer here at Crescent Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's, and the overnight is quite colder of course, usually in the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's while Crescent Lake night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Fraser Creek is a gorgeous stream that is worth taking a look at, and dry warm beds await you at Oak Tree Inn Yampa.
