The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Creager Reservoir all through the wintertime mostly descend into the 0's. Creager Reservoir is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Cascade Trail; you'll discover a scenic lake called Beeman Reservoir. Man, is there loads of exciting things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Camping is available at Pinyon Flats Campground; a trip to                  Great Sand Dunes National Monument is worthwhile. Getting to South Bruff Creek from Creager Reservoir is simple, and magnificent hiking is available along the Music Pass Trail. Creager Reservoir is pretty dried out usually; August is when you get the most rain here, and January is when it's the driest.
