In Colorado there are many beautiful lakes, Crater Lakes is one of them. A tremendous site right next door to Crater Lakes is Rogers Pass, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear Creek - West Fork. This lake is located in the wonderful Front Range. A pleasant spot for whitewater paddling right next door to Crater Lakes is Boulder Creek; great hiking is available along the King Lake Trail. | | Crater Lakes you don’t get a lot of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. There are great places to explore along the South Boulder Creek Trail, and if you need a spot to stay Iron Horse Resort is a great choice. Lakes. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Crater Lakes temperatures plunge to the
0's. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Berthoud Pass and strap some skis to your feet, and there are other places here than Crater Lakes, for example Clayton Lake.
