Colorado has many beautiful lakes and Crater Lake is one of them. Crater Lake is a beautiful lake in the San Juan Mountains. Camping at Lime Creek Campground is always a fine experience, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Whitehead Trail. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the San Juan Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Lake Purgatory Lodge, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along

| | the Highline Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Kendall Mountain in the neighborhood. The West Needle Mountains is one of the things that make Crater Lake so perfect, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Deer Park Trail. Any time is a good time at Crater Lake if you go for the outdoors. Camping is available at Purgatory Campground, and drift down the rapids of Animas River in a kayak.

of beautiful North Twilight Peak near Crater Lake is glorious, and Silverton has nice slopes and a friendly staff. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the San Juan Mountains. After a long day outdoors Angel Haus Condominiums
is a delightful site to spend a night or two; get yourself into a kayak and hit Lime Creek. It is very arid here at Crater Lake frequently; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of
the year is June.
Summer at Crater Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Crater Lake.
