Man, is there heaps of cool things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Blue Lakes is a nearby lake that you could explore, and there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Huerfano Trail. So much fun stuff to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, too delightful to be true. After a long day outdoors Alamosa-Days Inn is a good place to spend a night or two. A lake close by is Pioneer       Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Crater Lake has to offer, you can camp at Great Sand Dunes Oasis. This lake is so wonderful. You have to beyond doubt dedicate some time to Blanca Basin since you're here at Crater Lake, and there are tremendous spots to discover along the Strawberry Trail. All through the days of summer at Crater Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's.                  For the duration of the winter highs are typically in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Crater Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Great Sand Dunes National Monument is one of the destinations in close proximity to Crater Lake that are great to go to. There's so much to do here at Crater Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Blanca RV Park is a delightful spot for that. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Going for a hike on the Ute Trail is always a fine adventure, and at Crater Lake you can spot Blanca Peak.
