Fairmont Franz Klammer Lodge is a magnificent spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit San Miguel River; do visit Mavriat Reservoir, it's a pretty lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Cottonwood Trail; Homestead Spring is an inspiring       place to explore while you're here. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains is excellent! The Dry Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and get wet paddling on San Miguel River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Upper Craig Draw Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. There's so much to do here at Craig Draw Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Antone Spring Campground is                  a magnificent place for that. During the summer months highs here at Craig Draw Reservoir reach the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Craig Draw Reservoir dip into the 0's. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Craig Draw Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Iron Spring Campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Craig Draw Reservoir; Horsefly Trail is a fine local trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you're going to Craig Draw Reservoir from Montrose, you won't be the only one, and some out of the ordinary geology is available here, Craig Point is right here. Craig Draw Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.
